Hello to all here.
I have a 98 san diego model LWB frontera, it got me down here about 5 years ago and was used a fair bit in the first 2 years, since then it has more or less sat in my garage with an occasional run out
cars been in garage for about 6 months on stands and its now necessary to move it (we are moving)
any way at the moment i have managed to start it, but it has pretty much zero oil pressure, i am hoping an oil change/flush and new filter will do it
the plan after that is to get it back up to scratch as it will now be my main car.
TBH i havent worked on car engines since i ran a few vivas and magnums many a year back
so all the bits i think i can do on my own i will ned loads of help on and the other bits i will have to get a local mechanic to do.
i do not have any tools here so will get them as and when necessary
a quick question .......... how do i get the spark plugs out, what are suggested sizes and tools to do this, and are the leads only for this model or would some from another 2.2 (maybe omega or vectra) do ??
The unfourtunate thing here is that the 2.2 petrol engine was never put in the frontera here, so most parts will have to be ordered from the uk as Opel here send out to germany for parts....and that is really too expensive
so nice to be here, look forward to finding out loads about bits and pieces
