They were already campng at Llangors Lake near Brecon, and i joined them at around 10am.
We soon headed off after a little getting to know you chat. We headed north towards Llandrindod Wells, where we split up into two groups for the lanes.
Our group comprised on Ian and family in his Pajero, Kevin and his wife in a Pajero, myself, Jeremy in a 55 plate Freelander
Freelander had a little bit of trouble on the steep slope, but made it on the second attempt
Thanks must be given to Reece, Ians son for opening (and closing most) of the gates
We stopped for a bite to eat and pictures about 1.30pm.
Where the other group joined us.
After lunch we split up and headed off again.
The afternoons lanes were very enjoyable indeed, a fair bit longer than the shorter ones we had done in the morning. Then at the end of the last lane a little line up for the camera
With the lanes completed, we headed back to the camp site for a line up, and some very nice comments from other campers
All in all, a fantastic day with some new faces all of whome made me feel very welcome throughout the day. We did have a run in with a couple of Antis, but these were dealt with in a very proffesional way by the group leaders (GLASS members).
Some of the lanes were a little ahem... tight and scratchy
Jeremy in the Freelander headed off at the same time as me in the evening to return his wifes car to her
I wonder if he is still alive today
Oh and it was good to meet you Bill, looking forward to the 30th June. Do you ever stop fiddling with your sirens? And the Scottish bagpipe music over the CB was a master stroke
