Above Carls 2.8 died in the middle of the carwash A few hrs of him tinkering under the bonnet back at the hut..the beast sprang back into life...
It doesnt look to deep on that pick, but the start of the river was rather deep as you drive into a hole

yup took it reasonably easy up till the start of the M5 ......then belted it .. started her this morning no problemo
I must say that I applaud Carl for having the sense to switch off the engine as soon as it stalled, and salute him for not wanting to try and restart it.
I've read about the problems of hydraulocked engines in the past and tried to post the importance of not trying to restart one. Carl had obviously read my, and perhaps others' comments regarding this, and after a few hours work, we managed to clear the water and he had a safe 7 hours drive back home. It could have been a very different story, but common sense must always prevail. Lawrence
