READ ME CAREFULLY...Glad to see that interest in this event has NOT wained at all.
OK, now for the good news, I've got the entire weekend off as it should have been Bad news is that there will be a few legals to cover and changes to a few sections. Costs are as follows: Donations are appreciated to cover the following costs (which are NOT factored in to the weekends event costs, donation is NOT mandatory but appreciated): Collection and return of the Portaloo to/from Portsmouth (total of around 60 miles) towing a trailer. Provision of BBQ's for individual people to cook on, as well as provision of BBQ coal for your use. Provision of copies of maps for all the lane marshalls to use to navigate you around and hopefully NOT get you lost! Beer for the MARSHALLs to enjoy after all their hard work (to enjoy at the camp site in order to say thank you to them!) Costs for the weekend does NOT cover any food. I decided that this was too much work for me to arrange by myself as there were not so many volunteers as I would've hoped. So to make it simple, BRING YOUR OWN food etc. You are welcome to use my BBQ's in order to cook it though. Saturday is a big freebie!! Sunday will cost £16 per vehicle this also includes 1 driver for each vehicle. Any extra drivers for those vehicles are £5 each. People who are not driving can make a nominal payment of £1 towards things like the cleaning costs of the toilet etc.. If there is any money left over once all money has been collected and paid out to cover our costs then it will be donated back to FOG in order to assist with the costs in the hosting and maintaining of this most excellent forum!! There will NOT be prizes for things over the weekend. As much as I would love to do things like that and have competitions etc it just isn't practical and I have not had much time of late due to a heavy work load (what can I say, my customers just do NOT stop!!) Now the legals!!! EVERY vehicle which attends on BOTH days MUST be insured. EVERY vehicle which travels on public roads (which includes BYWAYS) MUST be taxed and road legal otherwise it doesn't travel! EVERY driver MUST be licensed! ANY ATTENDEE needs to understand that their attendance is at their OWN risk, any damage caused to their vehicle is of their own making... I WILL advise you now of the following: I have driven ALL the lanes that we will travel along. They are passable (or were, I'll check again shortly), but some of them ARE overgrown. And as such, you MAY receive some paintwork damage in the way of scrapes or scratches on the sides of your vehicle. There should not be any other risk of damage on the lanes, however it's all down to how you drive. Your vehicle must be insured to cover it's usage at the P&P site. It's your responsibility. I have also driven 90% of the P&P site and know it's relatively safe, however there are some parts of it that will NOT be attempted or used by any participant... And there are some parts that will come with an extreme warning prior to participation... You will have the opportunity to say that you don't wish to participate in any part of the weekend, you will be warned of any dangers or possibility of danger or vehicular damage. No one will expect you to do something your not sure of doing. No one will expect you to put yourself or anyone else in any danger. ALL DRIVING AND PARTICIPATION ACROSS THE WEEKEND IS PERFORMED AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! (you have been warned) The purpose of the weekend is to have fun, and that's all it's for. It's not organised, just co-ordinated. All participants will sign a disclaimer prior to participation and will have to read and agree to the disclaimer or they will not be participating. So now that I've scared you all off who's not coming? Ok, enough of that. The itinerary for Saturday will probably not go as planned, so it's not going to be planned, hahah. Just the route... There WILL be time on Saturday afternoon to visit the shops and buy meet/beer/water/etc, whatever essential supplies you might need for camping. Or alternatively you could bring along a coolbox type thing and keep it with you all day. I will however check the opening times for Sainsbury's in Alton and put them up here on this thread. Things you might want to bring along for the weekend!! A shovel (folding one would be good if possible) A pair of towropes (at the very least) A tent & sleeping bags for everyone who's sleeping over A pillow and perhaps even a blanket or two as it's still quite chilly here. Big boots for getting muddy. Clean clothes for when you get wet and muddy. Toiletry supplies (including your own toilet paper roll (just in case)) A supply of drinking water for yourself and your other passengers (as there is no fresh drinking water at the P&P site or enroute on the lanes!) Food for yourself and your passengers if you are staying overnight. I am sure there are other things you can think of bringing... so feel free to add to this list and make a post with whatever your thinking of so other people know what to bring! Meeting points for Saturday morning and also for Saturday evening (for those who are coming along to camp) and for Sunday morning (for those just coming to P&P day) will be posted very shortly with map details!! Sorry for the delay in information folks, but I've been busy as heck.

Every participant is expected to either have a CB or a PMR radio (CB is preferred though). While it is not really needed it WOULD help.... At the very least you will need handsfree kits for your phones if you need to use them because your stuck! Anyway, add to this list folks! www.4x4search.org - your 4x4 search engine. 100% human submitted and edited!
