Fitted the new crankshaft pulley today, couldn't find the torque settings anywhere so used some thread lock and tightened to 100Nm. It's good to get back on the road again to fly the Frontera flag as there aren't many over here.

This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been

Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered ;) )

Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... 'O-no' the truck.

Finally got of me ***** to get on with sorting Truck out for a MOT next week....

That 'small' hole in the N/S sill under the rear door turned out to be close to 550mm long and ran from the wheel arch, ended up cutting everything away from the bottom sill seam to about 10mm down from the top. Then spent about an hour cutting, bending and fettling a new sill section to match the shape out of a piece of 1mm sheet steel from BnQ. That's now welded in place and awaits a few daps of filler and some paint in the morning.

Also found another hole, this time next to the front body mount. Also patched and awaiting paint.

Final spot of welding to do can wait for the morning, this time it's the O/S rear mount for the axle bump stop, spotted it earlier when doing the sill repair on the other side. It's not fully gone (yet) but I will sort it before MOT boy gets a chance to make comment.

Apart from that, a wire brush across all of the brake unions and rip out the old now redundant fuel lines (ran new ones in last year, just not removed the old ones yet), a quick service and it should be okay.....

I might, and it is might even give it a wash before taking it down!
