Started stripping the turbo off the tractor in prep for the replacement. Just waiting for the gaskets to arrive.

This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered  )Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... Well it failed - on excessive play in the n/s/f bearing. Odd because it was fine 40 miles ago ffs. Different tester different problems eh

Yeah that's all, this time around... I'll try and get it looked at and retested today but we'll see how it goes with time etc

Passed the dreaded MOT just now ..only needed a ball joint a tyre ,some brake pipes and the anti roll bar bushes.

He couldn't do it today so I'll regrease the bearings over the weekend and have it tested again next week. 4th time lucky eh!
  thing is he failed it for having excessive play but it has no play in it at all, it's just a bit rough and noisy, but because there wasn't anything to put down as a advisory he failed it. Mine also failed on a sidelight bulb that was working.so I never touched that when it went back in .

Went for our MOT this morning, a mere formality, passed with no advisories again. Did do all balljoints and front hub bearings couple of weeks back. Happy days.
Remember, keep the greasy side down!

Finally got the new (to Truck) 2.8 axle off that I put on last Dec and the new (to Truck) Trooper LSD Axle on (in-between going to work, shopping, taking eldest daughter to work and replacing the aerial on OiC HF's Volvo that youngest daughter managed to rip off going to work).
Jobs left to do... Fit handbrake bits, disks, Brake Compensation bracket, rear calipers and brake lines. Bleed Brakes. Fit Propshafts, exhuast and gearbox/final drive bash plate. Oils to Gearbox, Transfer Box and rear Axle. Run breather pipes for the axle, gearbox and transfer box to the engine bay. Tommorrow should just about do it. If it all works okay then I will do a 2" suspension lift and sort the winch out during the week. This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Finished fitting the CB and the stereo out of my other truck. Just got the gauges to finish.
