Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Battery gun, drill bit and an 'easy out' soon saw the 'bits' out. Pressure plate now on and bolted up. Gearbox 'adapted' in respect to gear quadrant, slid under the vehicle and currently dangling on the ratchet lift because I've been called in by the cook for tea
This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Changed the cv joint and wishbone on the cav, all was going surprisingly easy when the captive nut inside the chassis decided to spin. So with a flap head screwdriver and a lump hammer I made a hole in the floor to access to top side of it

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Fitted a Green Cotton air filter and adapted a pair of silicon hoses to replace the porous one between the turbo and intermediate pipe by the air filter mounting. Goes alot better now, amasing really what difference an new filter and air tight boost system makes.
New front end adornment fitted but more to come before it's totally completed. Regards Stuart Remember, keep the greasy side down!
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!I should imagine it's a huge difference.
Shame the thread on getting new ones made up has died a death, really. Jim...

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!I thought I would have a look at why the rear diff on the silver swb was leaking. The cover looked ok so thought it just needed re-sealing so took it off to find it had two small holes so sanded it down to good metal to which the holes landed up being the size of 5p

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Jim, I got the part nujmbers and supplier details for the silicon hoses I used if you want them, not cheaper though at £42.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!I managed to fit the 2 missing body mount bolts today, only took 10 hours of cutting, grinding, welding, spanner throwing, fuse tripping from getting p1ssed off and turning the welder up to max, tea drinking and finger slicing

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Busy boy...
Apologies for raining on your parade, but I hope you've had a quick think on the safety side of things. Apart from the weight of a battery if it can move in an accident, they do give off hydrogen and oxygen gases during charging and discharging. Sealed box secured to the floor with a vent tube to the outside would be my suggestion here. Jim...
