Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Checking Fronty over for the dreaded mot. Stripped down all brakes, need new front pads, front flexi pipes, rear shoes ( plus fitting kit ), both rear wheel cylinders and brake cables both sides, omg. Also found a sort of torsion bar with a knackered bush on the drivers side about half way down the car, what is this please and where can I get a replacement ( can't see one on passenger side !) Also need a new windscreen, then I think its ready, oh and also sort out a badly fitted drivers seat!

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!So far I've put new front flexi brake pipes, new pads, new front shockers, and stripped rear drums down and ordered new wheel cylinders x 2. Got new shoes, fitting kit and cables and rear shocks to go on and rear spacers, front ones on last week. Other than the rain and having to cut one shock absorber off, Im enjoying doing this, glad I've got another car to get to work tomorrow tho

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Well, the handbrake on Truck has been 'wanting' of late so I got a new set of Brake Shoes and Pads all round having decided I may as well change those ready for the MOT next month while I was on the job.
Starting on the O/S rear I got it in bits, pads okay so they will go back on, the handbrake shoes seemed to have lots of life in them too, well they would have if they werent covered in axle oil... Seems the rear bearing is somewhat fubared along with it's seal Sooo.... One now needs to replace the rear wheel bearing, deep joy lol... I assume the bearing and shaft just 'pop' out when the bolts behind the brake cover are removed? This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
