just a quick post to say hi and i have a query, found this site (google) because i was looking for a car and have been offered a swap with my 2002 mg zs for a 2000(w) 92000miles 2.2 frontera and i wanted to know the good and bad bits of it before i agree to having it, thanks in advance.

The first question, is it petrol or diesel.
You'll get alot of personal opinions but for my money, the 2.2 petrol does get bad press for blown head gaskets. The 2.2 diesel can develop pressure pump issues under the wrong circumstances, i.e. been allowed to run dry then cooks the pump when trying to reprime.
Regardless of version, the big question is how well it's been maintained in it's earlier years.
