I was looking at the Dalby forest 4x4 adventures and am thinking of taking a little mud bath with my 6 year old and our Fronty Rex.
Does a standard fronty with road tyres and no lift cope well here on all the courses (with obvious exception of the X-treme course) or should i go elsewhere for my first go.
Can i also confirm that a fronty is an proper 4x4 not a soft roader, and how are they seen within the 4x4 world, capable or very capable.
Yes i have seen your videos but i have also seen enhanced fronties so do i need to fiddle with Rex or is it ok to leave him standard.
Sorry for so many questions

Ok i checked out mud on your face and i am well up for some of that, unfortunately i am working this weekend
So standard road tyres will cope there Fronties must be better than i thought.
Mind if i PM you my number then you can let me know when you go next.
BTW i have promised my 6yr old he can come when i go off road think Dalby forest may be more up his street than a quarry.
Rex is bouncing outside with excitement, he's like a dog with 2 d.....

Ok i am in, cool vids shame the first two were one fronty dying and the other being towed, then all went well. Got me worried for a second.
So all i need now is some bottle and a day where SWMBO will let me out

Frontera a "soft roader" = NO
Whilst normally, the Frontera is a 2WD vehicle, in 4H or 4L, it is in difflock mode (that is the same as a Landrover with all the levers twiddled)
The Frontera even has a low box.
So No, the Frontera is not a "soft roader".

I knew that, but needed it confirmed, need to give my mate a slap in his Terrano
Rekons his was all 4x4 , mine was not.
Guess he was envious cos mine cost £1250 and his was £19,000 or there abouts.

a lot of people think the frontys are a bit of a joke and not capable but anyone thats seen them off road properly will tell you they are more fun and a lot better than a lot of so called "real" 4x4s
