Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!They had a few rust spots on so didn't think they'd be worth a great deal. Took the bonnet and the drivers front wing off as they were in good nick. Kept the wheels for my new tyres. And took the tow bar off because it has recovery points welded too it. Got £120 for it minus 40 for the guy to tow it so 80 in my pocket...didn't think it was too bad

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Just returned with the Fronty, following a trip to the UK.
She took us from Brittany to Le Havre, hopped on the ferry, and then from Portsmouth up to Dorset, visiting family and friends in Devon and around. Loaded her up with radiators, paint and gear from B&Q and came back home. She clocked up a healthy 770 miles, never missed a beat, and returned around 9 pence a mile on diesel I have rarely been more impressed with a vehicle, and I've owned in excess of 250 in my time. She is truly comfortable, tractable, and NOW reliable! 'Phyllis' is a keeper, and even my wife has to admit, has been one of my better buys

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Truck...
Having broken it again on Saturday today was a mass panic with the spanners etc to get it back on the road for Monday. Massive job so it was. The blocked (and well knacked) drivers side windscreen wash jet has now been replaced and all is running again... O-no... Filled it, so she can drive it and empty it, for me to fill it again.... summit wrong with that arrangement me thinks... This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... 'O-no' the truck. Comments on 'O-no' the truck may be left here Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... 'Truck' Comments on 'Truck' the truck may be left here Owning a 2.8 is a hobby in it's self...

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Today i Fixed my brake panel switch. At the weekend I fixed my side lights after, checking all the fuses in the car (where all the light fuses are) they were all fine so checked the indicator stalk, that was fine so checked the wires and again they were fine. So after scratching my head trying to figure it out thought I would check the fuses in the engine bay, even though they are just the engine fuses, well that's what i thought anyway, there was a fuse for the sidelight in there, and just to top it all off today the interior lights wouldn't go out turns out the bonnet switch is now playing up so disconnected that and problem solved
i hate having Dyslexia

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Unfortunately had a bump today
52 reg Olympus Dti Star Silver, 60000miles, 5 speed, on 2nd engine, still runs great, no issues or EML`s Damage is the following, Front Bullbar Front plastic bumper Front Grill OSF Headlight broken mounting Front radiator support bent Bonnet Radiator Air Con Rad Bent intercooler ( Turbo still boosts ) Still drives and managed to drive back to our yard, no crunching or grinding noises. So all cosmetic so could be easily put back togather, which I could do myself. Regarding the accident ( My fault ) The options, 1, Pay the excess ( £250.00 ) scrap the vehicle, take what im offered look for something new. Least prefered option. 2 Pay the excess buy it back and fix it myself , with a future title on it, although may have something to put towards the parts for repairs. 3, Notify insures, don`t make a claim and fix myself. All my cost. At the moment I have notified my insures and have taken the time to ponder my options. Any Suggestions. I have the use of other vehicles so does not have to be an immediate fix. The down side is I unable to tow my track car around or collect parts for my other toys. Regards Dave
