I'll be at the AM, but have decided not to get my new/shiny/standard Frontera dirty, but I will be taking lots of photos Whilst I will no doubt be trudging around the play site snapping away at your antics, there are a couple of set pieces I'd like to try - with your participation of course. 1. 360° PanaramaSet all the trucks up in a circle (front towards the centre) and take a panaramic photo. Being a full 360° allows me to do some clever stuff on my PC, the results of which I will of course post for all to see, One issue is, is that if we have 30 trucks, that circle will need to be 67 foot diameter - hopefully we can find a space (and I remember a tape measure). We could shoot one with just the trucks and another with their owners crouched in front of them. If you are in agreement, we'd need to set a time to do this, and allow perhaps up to an hour. Once set up and I have my shot(s) you would of course be welcome to stand in the center and take your own photos. 2. Fireside under starlightI attempted this a few years back on the Mad March weekend with some success, but now I feel I can take this to the lext level. In essence, you will just do your thing around the campfire. The camera will be set up to take a 30 second exposure to capture the stars, but of course you might be moving around (It would be impractical of me to ask you all to stand still for 30 seconds), so at the end of the exposure, the flash will go off. I can do this one without any direct assistance from yourselves, but I wanted to warn you that I might be using a flash during the evening. The year before last I was verbally abused by an angry under age drunk person who was upset by the flash. I've warned you now, so dont abuse me. 3. Number platesIf any of you wish to have your vehicles number plate obscured on any photos I'm likely to post, then please see me over the weekend - I'll write them down there and then for when I return home to process the photos. (I'd rather not do this now or by pm). I do hope you can accomodate me on item 1 Item 2 will of course be subject to a clear night sky. Lawrence

Hi Lawrence and All, excellent idea. So I'll try to be well shaved and have a proper outfit to the announced time. At least I hope the truck will not produce any trouble and will get into the circle in time...
Kind regards, Ian Sorry for my pigeonenglish. My doctor says I have to invest time in SPORT

Oh good grief - I've now got a mental picture of you in a dinner suit complete with bow tie and Marion in a flowing evening dress. Would make a great photo if your truck was covered in mud and your were both wearing wellington boots ---------------- It's about time you had a new destop wallpaper then BadBoy. This was the picture from March 2011: Lawrence

Genius! I reckon that would make a cracking group photo of a few members could be persuaded to go for it. .. The more photos you take the better, L. They always look good and I've no problem with the flash

If the above suggested photoshot takes place, it could be posted on the forum with the title theme of "The Good Life" playing in the background.

Cheers guys, all positive responces - I just hope I can pull it off.
I've had another idea too... I have a 20ft lelescopic mast (used to raise the antenna when marshalling in forests) that I've worked out a way to fix the camera to. I'd like to try this (if we have time) in the circle I've proposed above.
It might also be interesting to try the mast idea in the actual play area as well.
We'll see, eh.

I've not actuallyhad to say "say cheese" yet as I've not photographed posed people (portraits as such), although I do have idea for a NSFW shot (no nuditiy, but implied) that requires a Frontera and a lady volunteer (with chaperone), but I'll save that idea untill later - D'oh, I've just mentioned it - any volunteers?
