Hello from Sunny Kent!

Just a quick note to say hello.

I've been a member since late 2012 and have enjoyed reading up on all the various problems and fixes.

Since buying my Fronty in October 2012 it did 1000 miles trouble-free and then the HG has gone pop. It
sat outside my Mum's for a couple of months until I decided to fix it.

I'm halfway through replacing it but having fun with inlet manifold removal Thanks to all who have
posted on this subject - it's been helpful and no duoubt I'll be asking a few more questions as I go through
the job (on the correct forum, not the welcome board).

What is it about these cars? I've had various 4x4's and normally would have scrapped this one, but for some
reason I'm really attached to it.....

Yep, Y2K 2.2i Petrol, in process of new HG, cracked manifold, broken manifold studs where some previous
'Billy Bodger' has been at it

But - it's very clean and tidy otherwise so worth the effort. Look forward to being able to enjoy it again

You will be wanting to speak to Vauxsqueeks about the 2.2 petrol. He can raise them from the dead no matter what condition they are in.

Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome

Reading all the tips and escapades on HG's, particularly from vauxsqueeks has made the job
a lot easier and much less grief

I've made a small donation to say thanks.

Will post some pics of the car when it's up and running again.
