Cured the 'Wanderlust' by replacing the front tyres, worn track rod ends, and got the tracking done
What a difference!, the fronty now goes where you point it, and stays straight when you want it to, a
far better driving experience!!!

Did a good deed yesterday. Helped a city cancel van out of a very stuck situation lol. Tryed winching them up the small hill, but I ended up sliding towards them...needed a good runup myself to get to the top so I could get traction and pull them up...was a mission lol

used mine to block a runaway horse from running riot on the way to buy my winning lotto ticket , it had escaped from a nearby field, a young couple ( not the owners ) with arms out straight were trying to stop it bolting off , i drove along side it untill it passed a gateway i then stopped so it was contained within the gate driveoff bit, grabbed my stropes and roped it off front and back from my fronty to the fence so in a make shift corral. the police were called and arrived the owner was traced & horse returned to its home within the hour, jeez it was a big mo fo

Got myself a new welding mask (re-active type) and started to do the welding for the MoT on O-no. Got one patch done on the O/S sill, N/S sill to patch and a hole in the O/S chassis member behind the centre mount for the side steps. Should be all done tommorrow so it's in for it's MOT during the week.

Get a pass on that and I will do the CAM Belt and Water Pump next weekend.

I bought one of them masks years back when they first came out...cost me about £200 IIRC...but was the best £200 I have ever spent I reckon...

and at the prices they are now its a no-brainer, not worth buying the old type flip up ones.

The only thing to watch is that you dont get obstructions between the solar panel bit and the torch...been caught a couple of times where it doesnt trigger do roll cages and stuff where part of the workpiece gets in the way and it doesnt tint.

got myself one of these yesterday - no greg, its not just flat at the bottom, its flat all the way round . My gran just said ive clearly driven the tyres off of it


Also ive noticed the grity grinding sound from the turbo spool down has changed to a tighter quieter hum....think I need to recheck the bearings in that again . Hope Im not in the market for a new turbo just yet, cant afford 1/3 of the value of the truck for a new turbo

When you pump that tyre up Dan, make sure that you move the truck to put the valve over the flat bit or you will destort the tyre, the air being needed in the vicinity of the flat section, not in the bit which is the correct shape.

i went playing at ince pay and play day ..... HOW MUCH FUN..... disapointed at the 1 other fronty turn out though. i managed to get stuck twice slipped down a rut and grounded out and then got stuck going over a hill ended up nose in first and back drivers wheels off the ground couldnt open the passangers doors well good site but very muddy and drift hang your head in same you best becoming to the next one

Wired up roof light to an independant switch in cab and treated it to 6 months road tax.

Cut the grot out and welded a patch onto the N/S sill on O-no. One small hole left to weld up (which will be a pig to get at with mr grinder to clean up), spot of filler and paint and it's in for a MoT.

fitted the start button and cut off switch after melting the bodge job i did last time. maybe a bit ott but i dont care.
