WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!i dont know much about diesels apart from the fact its the kiss of death for the fuel pump on the 2.2 to run it out of fuel so id make sure its definitly got enough in it

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Yeah, I drove it into the barn, so it never ran out of fuel, just that I had decided to replace the leak off pipes after seeing that a couple of them were wet, and it was running sluggish anyway.
So I WILLINGLY turned it into a non runner Not cranked it more than a couple of times since working on it, so just the SIMPLE task of getting fuel to the pump Last edited by Drift on Fri Dec 28, 2012 1:13 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Took off the tow bar from the landy and add a heavy duty fuel tank guard 5mm galvanised steel. Then I removed the exhaust back box and added part of the old frontera exhaust to make a side exit exhaust

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Landytats LR mates are already shouting at him for removing all the LR badges and fitting a complete set of Vauxhall Frontera badges.
As for me nothing. Waiting for the fuel pump to come back from the shop after having a complete new seal kit fitted. Then its all back together again with new timing belt, glow plugs, and power steering belt. Will also be setting the pump up for a couple of extra horses, and then tweaking the fuel regulator. ![]() ![]() My members ride For Banshee the Trooper : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=34626 My members ride for Leeloo the Lotus Edition viewtopic.php?f=46&t=60154 Deceased My members ride for Brenda the Bighorn : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=54771

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Truck:
Started it, drove it, parked it. O-no: Finally managed to grind/club/muller the O/S Bottom Ball Joint off (ended up getting one of these to get the thing off, this + this would not touch it) Once the joint was seperated it came out pretty easy. Had to use a bolt in the end of the drive shaft to pull it back into place so I could get the circlip on though. Jobs left... Bit of welding (2 sill ends and a small hole in the chassis I found behind one of the side step fixing plates) and adjust steering. This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Exhaust is on the cards. Needs the hole in the gearbox tunnel and new carpets first.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Truck:
Cleaned the rubbish out of the boot. O-no: Got bored so I adjusted the steering, it no longer feels like tacking when going down the road! It's not as easy to do on this one as it is on Truck... AC stuff gets in the way! Found the water leak as well, seems the water pump is not what it used to be, so that'll be the spare one coming out of the shed then. Might as well do it when the cam belt arrives from milners. Jobs left... Welding, water pump, cam belt. MoT. This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
