Know a few discos that have had more boot floors than oil filters!!.....Back on topic, fitted new alternator and PAS belts to my 2.8 today. Those I took off were the original factory fitted in 1996 and have covered 83500 miles in 16 years, thats what I call VFM. Oh and I don't need a boot floor....hehehe.

Checked all my fluids and did all the weekly checks,
i must admit after watching the youtube vid of the defender killing itself on oil i paid extra attention to the oil level

finished fitting engine number 4 to the 2.5 and she lives again, and no more eml ever again as there is no ecu or dreaded number1 injector

Have got the throttle pedal out of that 2.8shorty I am breaking, its on the side in the workshop, should be able to get that prop of early this week, at last!

Changed a bulb.

Have now a brake signal on the right side... Sealed the rearlight housing well with some universal blue stuff as the orginal seal is rotten.

Yesterday i swapped the suspension back to original on the 2.2, serviced it, washed it and added abit of polish so it can be put up for sale . Looked over my mates 2.5 to find much oil around the engine , fitted new dipstick n pipe as there wasnt one , just a length of 8mm bar ?Dont know what that was supposed to do but found out it needed oil so changed that whilst i was there. Looks like the front crank oil seal is flooked so that needs attention, also cleaned a selection of the electrical connectors around the engine bay, and it seems to be running alot better now, but really needs that seal sorting and the codes reading so limp mode can be turned off, although it didnt seem to be in it when i took it for a spin ? Was suprised at how well it went to be honest, sempt quite quick for a diseasel
Today i took Harrison to football in it this mornin and watched him score 3 goals again , then we took the dogs to fox house in the peak for a few hours walking, really enjoyed it and the weather has been great! Managed the odd snap of it too.

Yesterday treated the v6 to a cat back stainless steel exhaust, cheaper to get than the normal mild steel job and sounds sooooooooo much better as well you cant beat the growl from the v6 engine

Yesterday I cleaned it for the 1st time in ownership only took about 2 and a half hours to do the outside....Ill think about doing the inside later in my life

Then because our branch (Cambridge Halfords) came 2nd in satnav sales in the area (or maybe company...cant remember) we won £750....so the halfords massive went karting last night. Had a good old blast on there outdoor track and came second in the quollys, then it started to rain just as we went to start the actual race....and well suddenly trying to show the others how to go fast became very boring compaired to showing them how to drift around the now very wet track, but as a result of this I ended up 8th out of 15 lol. The number of karts that ended up in a fire work display of red and white tyres was just funny, however laughing was sort of fatal because it fogged up my visor. Karting in the dark with rain on the outside of the visor and mist on the inside didnt make for great visibility. Then I thought I had broken somthing when I spun out right infront of someone and ended up having a kart going full tilt into the front end of me, god daym that hurt lol, lucky the steering wheel stoped me from rugby tackling him out of his kart pmsl the kart didnt handle as well after that either so I think we bent somthing lol. Oh and I found out that karts dont go very well on wet grass lol. Sorry I know this is slightly off topic...but I used the fronty to get there

Very nice tyres...yoki's are the nuts, but flippin expensive.
I had a set of their dirt digger m/t's years back, and they were great.
A lot of the remould tyres out now are copies of their geolanders m/ts.


Andy, your truck is looking real good, and has come on really quickly...Its looking proper now, bet you are out trying to find something that needs winching though!!!

On the bighorn i Discovered the clunking and wobble at back suspension was a loose u bolt on leaf spring. I had thought the other day when i did the shockers it look dodgy but there was fuel n dirt and engine oil all over that side from the oil leak from engine an diesel from the choked breather . It was on last thread so wee horse up an the motors solid at back again.
Now the front is a diffrent story got play in the steering gear thing (haynes name) might have to borrow swb troopers one if they bit expensive got M.O.T in November

Well I spent most of today replacing the boot floor in the disco still haven't finished it I'll have do that tomorrow

messed around with the central locking and finally got it to work. Now going to order up a remote kit to bring it "up to date" a bit more
