Well just got home after a great days lanning in the Peaks, a big thank you to Danny for sorting the lanes and to the other guys for the company and banter.

A noisy trip home and the ears are still ringing, tried, Halfords, Kwikfit and a local independent guy for a quick fix to get me home but to no avail i thought kwikfit stocked loads of exhaust parts but they have to order them in
and the local guy quoted me £220 plus labour the whole front to back system new is only £140 wtf
I would prefer a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

Looks good guys...great pics...

Danny be aware that goosed oil pump+2.2i isnt good news for the bottom end of the lump...this is one of the causes of the bottom trying to get out of the engine normally I think...

The trip home wasn't that bad the rumble of the exhaust drowned out the whining I got most of the day, in a high pitched voice don't drive down that were never make it and screams of OH **** and **** but as usual the Fronties just drove through it all taking the terrain in their stride oh a a couple of large rock with them in some cases

Hope you get the shortie sorted soon Danny, did you manage to nurse it home ok ?

  Think the sister has more of the adventurous side to her mate
Got it back mate, it sounds like the top end was abit starved of oil even tho it was full to the line, so thinking its gota be the pump?? As you know the oil pressure was low all day and ended up being non existant on the way back and when i heard the tapping start i turned it off straight away n let it cool, then started it back up n no tapping so there mustve been some oil getting round as the cap was covered?? so limped it home  .
Next step is oil n filter change n an engine flush as it seems to be full of gunk n sh1t, might just be blocked due to lack of service?? HOPEFULLY!
Who took the vid of me driving down that death drop in the quarry???????? id really like to watch that :D

Can I ask where's the vid if it's where I think it is shouldn't of been there it's of a very sensitive lane. Sorry to be a kill joy but there is some much going on in the peaks don't want to give them any reason to close them.
