Well, 6 weeks of ownership have passed, and so far I have had only one real problem.
It had a fuel pipe replaced pre filter before I got it. In the first week, I used £40 of fuel when I would of normally used £20 in my Vitara. I put this down to the stale fuel, and the engine compensating for it.
The following week, I used 3/4 of a tank on a 60 mile journey.
When I pulled up outside my house, I noticed the trail of fuel coming from underneath.
Quick trip back to the garage, the new pipe was leaking. It was all tightened up again, and off i went on my merry way.
A week later, and another £100 of fuel, I took it back to the garage where they replaced the pipe and jubilee clips.
No more problems, and fuel economy seems better than the Vitara's was.
Unfortunately, the fuel leak meant I had to be a gate monkey (In a Jimny) for a greenlaning/wild camping stag weekend do in Wales instead of taking my car. The surprise of the weekend was a VW Wedgie Synchro. Went everywhere we did with no problems.
Anyway, since getting the Frontera, I have now noticed a few things that need sorting:
Flat spot when revving from idle (could be down to being sat for 2 years. Have put some fuel system cleaner in tank. Seems to be getting better at the moment)
Spare wheel carrier is bent.
rear bumper is bent.
Trailer electrics need sorting.
Clock doesn't work.
Aerial doesn't work.
OSR door doesn't fully unlock with central locking.
Few minor rust patches (Side steps, bumper corners).
Plus the annoyances:
Passenger seatbelt release stiff.
ISO wiring for radio in Vauxhall's have +v and Switched +v the opposite way around to other cars. So radio memory is wiped when ignition is off.
Things to do:
Oil change.
Black out rear windows.
Finish polishing it.
Strip auto hubs and clean.
So far, I am very impressed with it. It's a very nice motor.

Group shot from the off-roading weekend. (Wish I took my car now) A trooper and a 56 plate Range Rover had gone home by this point.
