Frontera Technical Support

Evening all.

Recently purchased a 1998 SWB Frontera 2L. Purchased it as I do a lot of shooting and fishing and was getting tired of lugging stuff over fields by foot, plus my 'day' car ends up smelling rather unsavoury if I've had a good day!

Pleased with the vehicle. £600 and 68k on the clock. I have my doubts over the authenticity of the mileage! but the engine seems sound. Got no service history with it at all so going through then engine at the moment. Usual fluid and filter changes plugs, thermostat etc. Will be getting the cambelt done shortly.

Going to need some new tyres soon, so will be looking for advice on those. The rev needle is intermittent as well, speedo is working fine but the rev dial takes a few minutes to come alive.

I'm sure I'll be asking plenty of dumb questions as I get to work on the vehicle so please bear with me; I'm not the most mechanically gifted.

Hi welcome and all that . Most question and answer have been giving and each type of fronty has its own section ie 2.0 to 2.8 A series and B use the wee search box top right anything you cant find just ask
