Did that lane, just outside Machynlleth, in Feb this year. Went up it twice without boards




Then came the water crossing and up the step.
I went first in the Frontera, so I didnt get any shots of that,

Then came Thunder Bird 2


Then Adz had a go.








Then Pete


Then a try in 2WD,


that doenst work, so fit some new manual hubs

Day 2
After waking up to a frozen tent after a verry cold night.
Darren and Fugly the 90 and the rest of his team were then recovered by the AA.

Back to do the same 2 lanes that group 1 didn't do on the first day.

Looks great, sounds great as is a v6 petrol engine, but as its based on a daihatsu f20 chassis, and although the body is lifted, the chassis / suspension isnt so doent have too much ground clearance and needed a lot of help and winching on that lane and on Happy valley. Only other one that needed a tow was a defender that lost all drive with knackered transfer box

Has the rest of the lane been graded because when I last did you would have needed lockers to get up some of the side slopes ???

Cos we enjoyed strata that much bud, you planned an awsome trip, oh and the bit about "not for novices!", that makes it sound like stupidity would fit in just grand!!

Yes spot on Danny twas a great trip and I'm always up for a little stupidity so bring it on, just trying to sort a co-pilot as it's no use bringing the wife (lack of moral fibre) when it comes to camping .
And the sil is working or she would have jumped at the chance to get plastered in mud attaching a winch cable while 5 burley men stood and watched
