I'm not to bad at piccys but I just can't figure out my camera but I don'r mind if someone points me in the right direction!!
As long as I point and press that works fine I can't figure out the night thing and which setting fro which occasion??
Night shot has never been any good on any camera ive ever seen.
Sport mode is good if its bright. Anything other that bright direct sunshine wont get you a good pic. Macro mode (if you have it) is good for close up photos, and at longer distances can be used to achieve a good depth of field. Above all, experiment, it wont cost you anything with a digital cam.
True I tried the sport mode when we went on the fording run but by the time it had sorted itself out and took the pic the cars had gone through.
could always take you for a ride down a certain hill Ian

Hmmmm, auto focus, the baine of my life.
If you need to get a good focus quickly, point your cam at an object near where the car will be in your intended frame, hold the buttom down slightly - this should get focus ready - then hold the button there, and once the car is in frame completely press the button down all the way.
marlbororman
Thanks for the offer but I'm afraid I am chicken where being a paaenger is concerned as I am a control freak I would love to have a play as passenger in a Fronty with big knobble tyres just for a run on the flat in lots of mud not in a suicide mission!!!
Just say the word, ya can have a play, and who knows you might want a SWB Ian
