hello all, my name is david, curently living in the bum hole of cheshire crewe but spent early years growing up in the lakes, which is where i call my true home. im new to the frontera way of life, having always been a vw owner and fan also owning a vauxhall combo and moggy traveller. having the combo break down again i got myself a b5 passat for working in but usually loving vw the passat has marred my experiance and have just sold it for a stupid price to get rid, so now needing a family car and work horse in one i got myself an n reg lwb frontera 2.8 isuzu. in some sort of dark metallic bronze type colour? no idea its not half bad 76k and leather and air con which seems to not work.

thanks for the welcome. funnily enough i used to live in montpellier for a short time working as an electriton type thing more making the pre fab wiring circuits for the prefab housing and my nick name with most of the other english lads was trigger, although not for being called dave but more for being a bit slow on the uptake back then

Welcome to the site Dave and well done for getting a decent truck. Now go get yourself a fuel filter, an oil filter, some oil and a drip tray and do a quick service on the beast as you probably don't know it's previous history They are very reliable and if you keep with the service points will just keep on going.... You would be well advised to spend a few hours going thru the 2.8 part of the forum too.
This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered ) Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... 'O-no' the truck.Comments on 'O-no' the truck may be left hereWork in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... 'Truck'Comments on 'Truck' the truck may be left hereOwning a 2.8 is a hobby in it's self...

really starting to enjoy driving the tank, started to slow down and not be in too much of a hurry, although cornering is completely different feels odd even doing a corner at 30 mph when i used to take it closer to 50 60 in a car with stiff suspension corners flat and if i started to slip on the 225/40/18 tyres the 4motion would kick in to the rear wheels and drive me out of the corner. i miss that
