But wont the A series shaft be too long for the B series hubs?

so the question to ask is, has anyone put B hubs on an A

and greg is allways going on about welding them up.

and incase you lot dont remember mine are easly removable so on road no lock, so can shunt in low range, and when offroad, or greenlaneing ingauged (bit like manual hubs, but alot simpler thus less to go wrong)

B series hubs are permanently locked so you might as well just weld up the normal auto hubs as that (other than shift on the fly) is the main difference

But we are talking about putting locked hubs on an A series. I believe Fudges method is to keep the hub in your boot while normal driving, then jump out and bolt them on when you want 4wd. Personally I would keep them on all the time. Bit of extra load on the CV's but nothing untoward. Only thing is you wouldn't have the 2L option like you could have with manuals.

Did an oil change today as it was a bit over due.

Put a load of Dum Dum under the aerial to try to stop it leaking onto the interior light and picked up the Mitsubishi Evo 6 seat that I'm going to attempt to fit next week

Started mine up and ran the engine for a bit, haven't been able to drive it much this week due to knee problems it's just much easier to drive the auto ML, but I have missed it wanted to take it along to the British indoor 4x4 show yesterday and park it up in the middle of all the green ovals

finally changed top n bottom ball joints both sides and the ARB drop links...........what a pig of a job

just the fuel lines to replace and the bumpers and weld the sill then off to test again ready for Avalanche

Took it laning, scratched it, got it muddy and put a big hole in the exhaust! But it was brilliant! Got a few problems to iron out before strata, defo need a snorkle after a few deep puddles and a couple of swollen fords gave me abit of a mis-fire for abit, but had a great day and didnt get stuck once!! But she back running like a dream now!!

Well now ive got the new one its time for this one to find a new home! , ive been told i cant have this many cars, and that after ive sold the astra and my vitara. So just gauging any interest from anyone on here??

Chucked the A series star alloys on the Troop as the standard alloys have no offset at all

I did the same on mine, just with Pepperpot's! Made such a difference.

i put pepperpots on my trooper with 255/75/15 on
then had to put arch extentions on as they were out to just past step

Swapped the Pug 306 rag-top for a R reg 2.5tds, which I then filled with loads of paint and scared myself lots in...was a tadge unstable!
