Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Seriously I frightened a porch driver to death in mine the other day, I flew past him about 65 in forth gear, he had his top down, the noise (turbo whistle and induction roar from the snorkel) of mine made him jump
The noise from the Jag XKRRS was unbelievable on acceleration it would have woken the dead it really barks, bit juicy though on the telemetry when we arrived back at the garage I averaged 6.4 mpg that was on the road on a track I reckon I could have got it down to about 4mpg I would prefer a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!No this is a limited edition built to your own spec it's a 5 litre supercharged 550bhp 0-60 in 4.4 but my favourite was the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale 4.6 to 60 but it felt more planted you knew you were in a supercar even with the full race mode on I could not get the back out where the Jag was spinning the wheels all over the place I suppose it's supercharger vs turbo power on tap no waiting for it to spin up.
Both gave the Lambo a good seeing to had to keep backing off in the Mazza behind the Gallardo but there was a whining coming from my business partner in the passenger seat kept saying I don't want to die I don't want to die Last edited by Drift on Tue Feb 14, 2012 11:18 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!run mine up to temp as she has only been used a few times on short runs over that last few weeks.
discovered that i've been losing a touch of clutch fluid, and what's left is a bit on the dark side. level down from max to just above min. giving it the once over it seems to be seeping out from the slave cylinder. apart from that all good. Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Used mine to tow my gaffers fiesta to a petrol station followed by towing it to the garage
He thought the knocking was cause he ran out of juice and then realised its a bit more serious when it wouldn't start after he filled up. Water pump had ceased The truck did it with no trouble I didn't even realise he was on the back except for the clunking of the towing bar (dejavu) If it ain't broke, fix it before it does!! You know it will!!

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Managed to cook the brakes on mine and drive straight across a crossroads, lucky there was nothing coming.
Then had to drive 8 miles home with out brakes, that was fun !! I would prefer a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!He probably tried driving it like the other motors he's been playing in this week!
Ceramic brakes on a fronty....na'h....they are proper ancient in design on these things... All joking aside, it might be worth looking at the load adjuster on the rear, and look at extending the road or bracket as you have done a suspension lift on your truck mate....It could be that you are doing all the braking on the front end, and the rear isnt helping at all, if the lift is making the load adjuster think the car is very light at the back... Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Looks like one of the rear brakes had been binding on and over heated, I hadn't really used the car for about a week (apart from getting a loaf of bread from the garage last night) and I think being sat still after an off roading trek in the snow the week before in Hampshire, mud and a ford may well had something to do with it.
It's not being helped that the ML is in dry dock due to a steering sensor issue and the Fronty was press ganged into full fledged work mode at the last minute, thrashed within an inch of it's life this morning. Any who the Merc is back tomorrow so 1 more 8 mile trip pumping the brakes to death and I can get it sorted, nearly had to use a Suzuki alto as a braking device this evening it all adds to the rich fabric of life Last edited by BoxCleva on Thu Feb 16, 2012 8:28 am, edited 1 time in total.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!i tried to sort out my central locking on the 2.5 because its not work right. unlock the door with key only the drivers door opens then get it close door then all the doors unlock
so was going to take central locking module from the 2.2 but it different. so i thought i would change the whole door but the wiring blocks in the A posts are different too. on the 2.5 it has 2 blocks with 14 wires, on the 2.2 it has one block with 16 wires.. i hate having Dyslexia
