Do you get bored between Christmas and New Year If so, I will be running a laning day in North Essex on Friday 30th December if enough people are interested (for group safety a minimum of 4 vehicles are required). I plan to depart/finish from Marks Tey Railway station by 9.30am (located at junction 25 of the A12 near Colchester) I have not had time to run the route so most of the lanes we will be doing are untested. With that in mind the whole day will be on a trial and error basis and I have to limit to 6 cars on a first come basis. Some lanes may be very scratchy and there will be several fords on the route. All the fords can be bypassed if you don't want to go paddling. Many of the lanes are likely to be very wet and muddy so good A/T tyres are required as a minimum. Having your own recovery gear is desirable . I have no lunch stop planned for this day so please bring left over turkey sandwiches & drinks with you and we'll find somewhere to stop enroute. 1. BadBoy and copilot 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Reserve 1.

I would have loved to come to this to get away from the family for a day but it's over 3 hours from me so I'm gonna have to give it a miss. It's a full days driving there and back without the getting muddy
I would prefer a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy. Seek not excess, God hates he who roams !

Great to see you can make it now Andy. Make sure you have your muddies on. Looking how soft the ground is locally I think we may need them Do you still want to borrow my coil spring compressors? If so I'll bring them with me.

Cheers Paul - I'm going to pick Paul up at 8a.m. from his, so I reckon 1 1/2 hours from Orpington to the meet place should be easily doable (just got to make sure we miss the shoppers).

Plan A: Sneak out the back door without them noticing - Plan B: Bring them/her with you Nearly got caught with the same dilemma - but youngest daughter and her boyfriend have done enough damage this week (announced they are getting married - bang goes my new tyres) and wifey said she would rather sit in front of the telly than get thrown about in a motor on bumpy dirt tracks all day.
