I have a few routes lined up, but I will go over the routes on the Friday night with everyone.
Nothing will be set in stone until the weekend we go so we can take the weather into consideration.

One option is the Wayfarer as I know youve all read about it and only a few have done it, and its about the most famouse lane in North Wales.

The most difficult lane will be the the one that runs along side the hut and that section is the most difficult part of that route, so we could walk that and see what people think before comminting ourselves to it, you need good lungs its steep and rocky  .

So a bottle of wine and a beer or two in the dinning area and we can all have an imput into the routes.
Ill have a laminated map and MM on gps, if anyone has MM on lap top that would be great when planning as we can all see it then

Looking foward to it :D

Now if I manage to get over to the cottage before the meet I might see the manager Mark in the pub and ask if there are any friendly farmers with a spare field  but cant promise anything, that would just be a bonus :D

I would just like to make a point about mud.

I understand Ste is promoting the above weekend as a social and laning event, not a pay and play type event. Don't expect to find "mud runs" on the lanes and if you do, drive them sympathecially, if indeed you have to drive them at all.

If you want to play in mud, find a Pay & Play site.

Treat the countryside and the ancient byways with respect and we might hold onto the ones we are still able to drive, abuse them and we'll lose them (and probably get arrested as they are public highways)

I have got a few pics of the most sever part of the lane by the hut, courtesy of Paul Humphrys of GRAG.
If we decide to do that part of the lane we will be using spotters.

By no means is it definite this part of the lane will be driven, you car is worth more than a bit of pride.

Our main concern there will be side sills and rear diffs, but with spotters it will be slow but safer
