Hello everyone,

Im looking at a 94 swb frontera 2litre petrol,very clean, 90k miles reasonable price,

I want it for winter use and am planning an trip to the isle of man next year towing a single axle trailer with a lightweight mini.

any comments on whether something like this would be up to it, and does the frontera deserve the poor press it got when new?

Your Frontera should cope no problem. The SWB will pull 2 ton, so shouldn't have any problems. Just make sure it's had a good service (oil / filter / air filter, and also the coolant done too).
