Hmm 2.6, Im thinking the engine parts are hard to get hold of, are they not 32 spline hubs too?

Fitted new batteries to the remote, realigned it and hey presto remote locking returns! Also painted the fuel tank carrier black.

Had a bit of a wheel/tyre swap around.

Removed the 2 x 255/75/15 Goodyear Wrangler ATR's I got from johnnybbad last weekend from the pepperpot rims and had them put on the rims I got earlier this year, took the two duelers (265/70/15) off the front off the truck and moved the two Wranglers from the rear to the front and then put the two new (to me) wranglers on the rear.

Ended up with 4 v/good 255/75/15 Goodyear Wrangler ATR's on 'A' Series Sport Alloy Rims on the car plus a spare (repaired the puncture) sat on the back. The two good duelers that came off the front are sat in the shed, so once I've replaced the 2 old worn out duelers that came off the car a couple of months ago and are still sat on the rims I will end up with a set of ATR's and a set of Road Tyres

Oh and theres 4 empty pepper pots (15") to clean up and paint as well. Wonder if I can get them on the wifes MX5?

This may be geographical though.

The only thing geographical mechanically about Isuzu is the badges they put on them depending on where and who they exported them to ... i.e. Isuzu Trooper (uk), Isuzu Bighorn (Japan), Vauxhall Monterey (uk) ... all the same.

Only exception to this is LHD/RHD and some 2.8's for were chain cam but they are rare.

as my radiator exploded at the FOG Annual Meet i had to get one from tom so i could get home.
so today i made two into one
as the one from tom had most of the fins missing and mine had a hole in the top i decided to make one good radiator out of the two.
so i removed the top of both radiator's cleaned the seal on the good one then put some instant gasket on it. placed it on the good bottom half then bent all the clips to make a good seal. job done

Cracked on last night with Sals 2.8 shorty...
Got the knackered clutch off and removed the flywheel, replaced the crank oil seal (cheers Dwifty)...which was a fight and a half! It had a 2 piece on it in, the other came out easy but the inner took ages of much swearing to get out.
Refitted the flywheel and new clutch (cheers Frenchfarmer) and refitted the gearbox and bolted up...
Decided to call it a day as engine needs a service and getting to oil filter is much easier with everything removed, and exhaust is gonna get some mods ie removing the 3ton silencer box also as well as the quick warm up pointless thing...but wanted to run it past Sal that she was happy with it growling a little bit more!

as mines for the mot in the morning i thought i had better cover the rusty hole in the rear bumper that i blasted thru with the power washer the other week . so fixed it umm i mean bodged it up using a cutting from a tin lid and a couple of nut n bolts. it only has to last the half hour of the mot test then i will sort a new bumper somtime. but at least thers no sharp edges sticking out now lol. aslo give it a good wash and fixed the blow out from the cat. was just loose. here a few pics of the bodge job bumper feel free to fall about laughing .







and its all clean again.

must be a few compatible parts in this country saw a 88 for sale on ebay for 800 there hoping plenty in scrappy . i will have to scavenge each part i find needs done i guess ach well every one loves a scrappy day

Its what I do Drinks. My garage is slowly filling up. I am going to have to have a massive clear out of all my old Cavalier parts and random rubbish I have accumulated over the years which I will never need anymore. In fact I might as well start this weekend. Hate to think whats at the back of my garage.

if that old spare wheel is going to be orphaned after your garage clearout Ratty ill adopt it from you ,im going to remove my pepperpot spare & replace it with my spare steel, its a bit rusty so i need a cover to tidy it up a bit

yesterday i transplanted my cb from my newer old truck into my older new truck
today i sewed the rip in the gearstick gaitor, that will have to do untill i track dowm a better one & installed an air freshner

Well took the 2.8 in for her mot at 11am and she failed
o/s head light no dip or main beam
o/s/f brake pipes only the 3 you can see lol
1 advisory both rear shocks just starting to leak

If you mean the old cover I had on .. that unfortunatly had to sacrifice itself to make room for the one I have at the moment ... basically it fell apart
