Tried to swop the clutch slave cylinder off my old 2.5 for the leaking one on my 2.2 but it wouldn`t fit pipe inlet is about 40 degrees off so the pipe would foul on either the bell housing or front prop shaft .Phoned my local factor who had the barefaced cheek to quote 97 quid plus vat told him politely to grease it well so it would not hurt so much when they took it out in the local A&E. So I rednecked it a bit to get me back on the road I swopped the innards of the two cylinders and hey presto a working clutch

Had mine sitting at 90mph on the A1(M) when on my way taking the dog out...trying to keep up with my mate in his Vectra SRI diesel. We were both pleasantly surprised.

Ta Ste , I think the moral of the story is "don`t buy a car that has been standing for the best part of 6 months and expect it to be perfect "

Filled some holes in the soft-feel A-bar, used some cour po9lish for odd scratch, refitted a broken rear hub-cap (for this I will create a "how-to" thread.
