Poundland have "Picnic" blankets that are just like a thin tarpaulin style material so good for a boot lining

At long last gave the engine its very very long overdue oil and filter change. Bash plate removed without problem, sump nut undone, no problem - then the fun began - oil collector tank had a blocked vent hole so the oil was draining out the sump quicker than the collector could handle which ended up with a massive air-block which suddenly relieved itself spilling about a cup full of old sump over the driveway. With the assistance of cat litter granules and swarfega oil dispersant normality was restored.

Sunday is getting nearer - jobs are being ticked off one-by-one. Only seven minor matters to attend to.

Fitted my sparkrite car alarm.

Changed the air filter element. Put the rear interior panel corners back in, soldered the numerous wires for the stereo which hopefully will cure tthe radio beibng on silently and drauining the battery. Last but not least, the "Frontera Owners" sticker has been mounted on a plate and is displayed on the front of the car.

Finished the wiring and switch for the light pods and drilled and fitted some running lights

jason did post quite a long list of suspected failure faults either in this thread or another last week sometime , sorry to hear she failed jas

yesterday i changed plugs air filter & drained the oil before rain stopped play, today i changed the filter & refilled with nice clean stuff

So Richard is going to give it a good service,changing all the oils and water spark plugs and so on

£100 for the parts (second hand track rod) and a days work Jase
The caliper could be refurbished or a second hand one for £20, I would got DIY route mate
