Looks like a canny bargain there Robbie. Well done bud. Meanwhile, I ordered new front brake discs and pads... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:ITALSO managed to get an intake pipe (the bit from the wing to the airbox) for Beasty, so she can now breath a bit easier, and fitted LED side light bulbs and Xenon Headlight and spotlight bulbs. Sadly though, the spots have decided to stop working now. Dunno if it's coz they're 100w instead of the 55w that came out. Just also bought a new rear wheel bearing... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT

well on friday I got bord and cut the exhaust off . then welded up a sort of down bit so the hot gasses don't start burning the underside. sounds pritty nice, or so I've been told, I havnt had a chance to hear it from the outside yet, but have to agree, from inside it sounds prity nice too! and not as loud as I thought to say its only got the cat to silence it now hehe.

I spent a couple of hours sat in mine waiting for the AA only for them to do nowt! The clutch slave cylinder has been weeping for a while it turns out and finally got to the no go point. Nursed it home pulling over and pumping it up every so many miles. Now on the hunt for a cylinder so I can get back to work to earn the money to pay for the damn thing

I rewired my LED beacon and fitted it to Beasty. Also put my CB aerial on the roof ready to fit the CB...as soon as I work out how. (gonna put it in the opening in the bottom of the fascia)

Today I redid my CB aerial mount, this time its on the roof! So hopfully I'll get a more useable SWR reading :/ - I have yet to re-jig the wiring, but the mount itself is in place. I reused the same bit I used for the old mount (see mar...I can recycle! ), cut it off the wheel carrier and bent it so that the cable has room underneath it Then used a good old exhaust clamp to hold it to the rool bar What the wheel carrier looks like now, not pritty, but oh well And Im going to order one of THESE (see pic below) so that I can quickly flatten it for car parks and low trees etc, and because its right above my head, I'll be able to flattern it from the drivers seat! woop woop!

Not so much what I did, but more what my truck did to herself. When starting her at the end of my shift today, she took a good while to start. Did eventually though (with the usual clouds of smoke) but the dreaded limp mode has come back. Can't wait for Pot Bellied Pixie to send me a replacement glow plug relay. May have to bite the bullet, and go visit the local Stealers.

slapped a dolly on the back and towed a blingo my lad had been valeting back to its owners. note to self must remeber when towing a belingo on a dolly must look in rear veiw mirror so not to forget it is there and play drag strip off every light when it goes from one lane to two so the gimp in the little nova, the twonk in the audi a4 and granny in the mx5 next time dont get surpised when i power past them cathing them napping. OOOHHHH GOD I LOVE MY 3.2 V6.

Stripped out the knackered clutch slave, cleaned it up, bled clean fluid in. The fluid was rank! Full of gunk, the reseviour was lined with scum to. Still feels iffy but is kinda driveable while I wait for the £92 new one to arrive.

Makes the Fronty look small ... not being funny but does the Trooper have more ground clearance.

yea the troop has a lot more ground clearance i would somtimes drive the fronty up onto 4 breeze blocks to give me some elbow room [ ok ok its a beer belly]. but with the troop i dont need too. the 33s help it out a bit too.
