Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Washed the last of the annual clay/mud off it. What the hell was in that stuff? It's a nightmare
. Also expecting MPG to improve after remove what felt like 1/2 a tonne of the stuff off crossmembers, sumpgaurds (the ones that are still attached) and chassis.
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!re-checked my timing and found it to be a couple of teeth out..that'll explain the lumpy running at low revs..all sweet now..think that the tensioner bolt had worked itself loose, letting it the belt slip a little. did feel what you could describe as a "kick" from the engine a couple of days ago.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Turn the crank over by hand and listen for any clouts. Probably easier to hear it with the plugs out.
Sorry Fudge .. building a pagoda tomorrow. Though I had Dan last night asking if I can help him change his rear crank seal .. apparently its leaking faster then the Exxon Valdez at the moment. I weighed the options up and oil leak ranked higher on list of things to change than tired clutch. We are doing it on the weekend before the woods weekender down at his in Cambridge. ![]() ![]() My members ride For Banshee the Trooper : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=34626 My members ride for Leeloo the Lotus Edition viewtopic.php?f=46&t=60154 Deceased My members ride for Brenda the Bighorn : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=54771
