Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!took front bumper off and gave it a quick (and poor) respray, as it's been bugging me.
Fitted a new set of jbl speakers in the back..these i'm blaming for my recent big end bearing failure..long story, but lets just say the mechanical but get upset if new electrical bits are presented to the car. also while knocking around in the shed..found a 700w alpine mono amp, thinking that'll be nice in the truck. Then thought if i take it anywhere near the truck the gearbox is likely to fall out. it's just the way things are going at the mo. The greatest lesson in life is to know that even us idiots are right sometimes

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Removed the last of the oil-soaked cruft from the back of the car, and gave it a clean out with some absorbent rags.
Then fitted the replacement boot carpet & light that I liberated from the scrapper yesterday, and put the dog guard back in. Boot area now looking tidy again, just got to decide on the seats that were at the scrapper, or whether I hold out for a better set... Decisions, decisions. Jim...

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Got Chugga back from the garage. Was in for 3 brake pipes and wobbly headlight. They ended up doing 5 brake pipes and the headlight...all for the £50 originally agreed. NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE. RESULT. Have to phone the MOT centre in the morning to see when the can fit me in for a re-test, then my baby is road legal once more.

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Hi
Looks good, but a PITA if you need the spare wheel!!The CB good book of words advises having the antenna mounted centrally on/over a steel ground plain for optimum performance. Using a five foot springer has the desired effect where signal is concerned and is also flexible enough not to be bothered when dragged through the shrubbery. Doesn't like hitting over hanging branches at speed though, tends to put a kink in it therefore I use a three footer and put up with the reduced range, gives me about five mile radius of cover in stead of eight with the five footer. Regards Stuart Remember, keep the greasy side down!
