Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Decided to fix my door that fell off
Now I can't weld to save my life, so I decided to enlarge the hole the hinge ripped out and put some flat bar behind it and bolt through that. Door being held up on an axle stand ![]() Needed to whip the front wing off to get clear access ![]() ![]() All sorted with new studs. Nice to have a door that opens with out falling off ![]()

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Have tools - can bodge
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Well.... for a few days now the old truck has been mildly challenged by hills, slopes and at times even the more severe speed bumps, on investigation I found a non-rotating turbo (it wasent seized cos it would 'wiggle' about 0.25mm in each direction). Checked the oil and coolant supplies yesterday which were okay and began to seperate it from the exhaust adaptor for a looksee last night when I ran out of light and ended up putting it all back together ready for work today.
Drove all the way down to Erskin Bks, Wilton at stupid o'clock this morning and the truck fair flew up the hills, seems the Turbo has decided to get a grip and start working again A far better result than me, later on putting the front wheel through a cast iron manhole cover Just hope the turbo keeps going for a few more months now while I try and sort a shiny new one out. This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... 'O-no' the truck. Comments on 'O-no' the truck may be left here Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you....
