has anyone been to this site at that time of year?? it looks rather snorkle intensive (google maps), or are the lakes not that deep??

I was there in September 2008, when GLASS held it's AGM there.

There was one deeper pond, but the others were ok:

It's a much smaller site than Bala, but should therefore be more sociable as we won't be as spread out. Lots of easy stuff for the shinies and more challenging stuff for those that lean that way. Also there is the woodland, which I did not venture too deep into on my last visit.

If the camp arrea is where I think it is then the non drivers won't even have to walk too far to see the action.

Good choice.

Well, I've just had a decent look at the site now I'm home and on a PC, rather than at work on a phone, and it looks good.
If GLASS held their AGM there, it must be alright. I see the names list is coming along nicely too :lol:

Bit silly having one price regardless of duration &/or activity IMHO,as I am sure there are many members who would have gone for a single night social but will be put off by a £40 overnighter fee
