Hi foggers Please be advised that on Sunday 24th October 2010 we will doing a Workday at the site... We will meet at 9am at Notcutts garden centre just off j7 m20 (head towards maidstone from j7 and its immediately on your left...) (the meet point may be changed to the woods, if everyone attending has been before and knows where they are going...I will advise) Please bring with you any tools that you have that may be useful for clearing trees, digging and lunch/drinks as nowhere very near to get grub when you have worked up an appetite. Dont worry if you cant bring your fronty, we find somewhere to park the lesser cars if not 4x4's so you can still join in if you want to. Probably not a good idea to bring dogs to the work days, I am just concerned about them running around with chainsaws going and 4x4's moving around, and children must be kept on a tight leash and near parents at all times as we dont want any accidents. Workdays will not be capped at the moment as loads to do, and we will be grafting as a team to get work done...this will involve some delegation of tasks within the team to ensure we are both productive and safe... Use of chainsaws will be restricted to logging or pruning areas as instructed...I dont want to risk accidents with inexperienced members felling trees and anything we cut has to be considered so as to retain the character of the woods and to represent best productivity. This is gonna be hard graft, I can be a bit of a slave driver , and for maximum productivity please only add your name if you are available for the full day... Please note this is NOT a playday, and although some 4x4 driving/working will probably be involved during the day, we are there to work to get the site ready for the next meet... Anyone "outworked" by Sally will be on toilet emptying duty at the next weekender!!!! Your safety is paramount, I must insist that anyone attending ensures that they stay a safe distance from any felling or chainsaw operations or moving vehicles... Falling debris can be unpredictable in its direction or distance of fall, so please be very careful... Please add your name to the list if you are coming to help with this, and thanks for your support guys...we are really getting there with the site now!!! See you soon Gregster

No tools needed mate...we have everything in hand If you wanna bring a chainsaw it might be handy as we have some logging to do, but only if you are kinda confident with using it, as we dont want any accidents and its gonna be slippy under foot... Look forwards to meeting you and Norse

Greg - I'll try and make it - at the moment the bloody paint brush is ruling in our house and I really want to use the green card on the picnic day. The plan is to have a job in hand on Sunday that I can only do on that day and nothing else, i.e. undercoat or something - crack on with that and then when done, escape to the woods.

Wotcha Foggers.... Had a productive workday today, got everything done I had planned which is all good... No pickies sorry.. Todays crew were Sally as always Norse and his misses and Fudge in Norses 2.8tdi Lwb...nice truck Retro Pedro (with vedgetarian tyres on his truck ) and a limping (sorry....flying!) visit from Stevey 2stuck... Today we moved all the logs for the landowner into one big pile near the entrance to the woods, we had various piles all over the place... Improved the new frametwister from the last digger mission, loosing a few trees to make it much less risk of damage, yet still really challenging Cleared up most of the new stuff we put in when we had the digger, and loads of the other tracks, pruning stuff back, loosing dead stuff and low branches and a few trees to make everything better to drive, especially when it gets slippy... Cleared loads of fallen stuff from the trails and had a general spruce up ready for the picnic in a fortnight... and its looking pretty damn good Thanks everyone for your help today, was nice to meet some newbies to the woods, hope you enjoyed yourselves... A jolly good day all in all, a bit cold, but we soon worked up a sweat...got loads done and had a laff, other than when Pete tried to sit on my lap!!! Thanks again guys n gals
