I washed the windows, went to the DVLA office nearest at garretts green and taxed the truck for tomorrow.
first outing in it tomorrow. 17 miles to work and 17 miles back.
as long as that goes well ill see if there any little (baby) lanes near me i can try............gotta start out as i mean to go on

Took delivery off two new leaf spring kits, new shocks all round,complete clutch kit and an air filter today ready for a day of spannering on Sunday Volenteers welcome.

This really belongs to yesterday - but it's what I shouldn't have done - whilst the interior rear quarter panels/cards were removed I thought I'd have a go at pushing some of the dents out of the rear quarters. Was able to gain access through the rear speaker holes. Not enough room to swing a hammer so had the brilliant idea of putting a scissor jack in between the outer and inner skins. Was working OK when the first dent popped back out. Tried the second dent and couldn't turn the jack screw by hand, so I inserted my favourite dumpy screw driver into the hole for leverage. Working OK until I dropped to screw driver which fell right to the bottom and is now sitting in the sill. Tried fishing with an extending magnet, no joys, then tried putting a wodge of sticky tape on the end of a pole but that failed also. So now my favourite dumpy is trapped in the inner depths of my sill. I expect it's feeling like the Chilean miners.

Today I fixed my old alternator (bodged it more like) as the current one decided that it should overcharge on the way home. Fitted it back on the truck and the EML light doesn't come on now (except when it does it's pre-test)..its all in another thread

I booked my car in the garage to get the exhaust replaced. Should be sorted next Friday morning (my nxt day off) in reasiness for the Clog.
