This is a Deceptive Ford (1-2 feet deep) with shingle bottom &
easy access.

Now classed as a UCR and part of a greenlane that leads into Barston from Balsall Common.
It's a very bad lane now from Tractors and WheelSpinners.
A High Clearence 4x4 is needed for the UCR.
And even then it's not easy.
This lane took out a couple of panels, rear lights and a snorkel top on
a LR Defender!

(takes a while to load. Sorry)

Coming from the Kenilworth Road/Balsall Street end you only see a
Dirt Track splitting off the Tarmac Road, Blink and you'll miss it!

About 15 metres down is the Ford itself, there's just enough room on the other side to turn a Fronty around.
The UCR itself starts about 10 metres on from the Ford and is (in my opinion) beyond use as I grounded after only going 7 metres!

Coming from the Hob Lane side you are warned that the Road is
"Unsuitable for Motor Vehicles" This is still Tarmaced at this point and continues down to a Farm.

I was only going to do the one pass but the Mrs called out that she couldn't wade through 2m of water! how tempted was I just to go!!!! lol

I know it isn't a Flashy Video it was taken on a Nikon Coolpix L3 & my Mrs hasn't got the steadiest hands!
I also know it's not as deep as Most of you guys have gone but it's the First time I've actually gotten her to move out of the car and do a Vid!

I was over that way today and took a look at it, the river looked to deep to ford at the moment, but i took a walk up the green lane. Ok its not the easiest looking lane ive ever seen, but reading all the horror stories on here I thorght it would be the lane from hell. I rekon it would be doabe with a standard fronty with some decent tyres on it. I would certainly not mind attempting it with some backup.
