Just got my (of course I say "my", it's actually for the other half, guess I'm just her mechanic) first Fronty - A series 1994 2.0i Sport - the purchase of which was made considerably easier by reading these forums for a few weeks beforehand and having a good idea of things to look out for.
So cheers to all for all the info so far, I'll probably be asking a few questions later once I've drawn up the extensive todo list!

Welcome to the forum (though only a newbie myself). These Frontys can become quite addictive, and well worth trying off road, even if only for a bit of mild green-laning. Easy to work on too (with the required hammer, blowtorch and WD40 in the toolkit). Hope you have fun. /Mark.

Thanks for the welcome!
Will probably be a while before we get out and about, the old girl needs a few things doing first... gearbox and rear diff look a bit oozy, and I think the fuel line is in the way out as we had intermittent wafts of petrol, a few rust related issues, non functioning temp gauge, and of course trying to diagnose what previous owners may have done to the alarm/immobiliser (if it ever had one) and at some point I should trace an led that has been user installed on the dash by the rear wiper switch to find out what it was supposed to be doing if anything. Oh and all the usual servicing jobs of course. Time to start hunting down all the necessary bits and bobs!
