Hiya, I am Jenny, and me and my man (Richard) just bought a Frontera yesterday. Totally in love with her already, and named accordinly as Helga the Viking Warrior as I am Swedish... She's a 2.4i, 5 dr in a mean green colour. Never had a 4x4 before, so this is the start of a new adventure. Don't drive myself, but think I may just take the plunge to learn now we have Helga, as there's just something about her.... all other cars/vans we have had were just so small and I never felt totally safe (been in a few knocks plus I am a bit of a fatty....lol). Time will tell. Otherwise, my life revols around my dogs (2x white boxer boys) and my reptiles - snakes and lizards. Hubby runs a Home Sunbed Hire business, so may even use Helga for that. Think that's about it

hi and welome to fog.Ive had my 2.3 for three years, every day for work, and a family vehicle at weekends, and was completely happy with it.Its now sitting in my yard as i wonder what to do with it as a friend dinged the front for me.Such is the generosity of fog members, Gregster helped me out out in my hour of need and risked marital strife and sold me a dark green 2.5 which has been great as well,(but I've been slow to transfer affection to it) especially the fab heater and much better performance. It goes so well that even my wife likes it I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not. This site is full of helpful and generous folk and I always feel a little embarressed as I cant seem to reciprocate in the technical advice side of things. Hope you enjoy your frontera (you're right there is something different about them)as much as I have mine.

Thank you all for your kind welcomes. I have no technical or mechanical knowledge what so ever, so well pleased with all the sections and advice available on this forum. Sure it will come handy, as unfortunately Helga is a bit of a rust bucket...lol.. Still love her tho, so will do all in my power to look after her, and give her the TLC she needs. Ashbrear - we've been to Newtyle and Blair many a times, loads of sunbed users there...lol Good to have someone near by with more knowledge than us, as should the need arrive, it's not far to drive up for a 2nd opinion Again, thank you all for your welcome. PS - attached some pic's of my Helga Love the wheel cover too, as we have white boxers and this looks just like my youngest....lol

Hiya Keith. Thanks for the welcome, and yeah my Helga was a great wee ebay bargain for us. Desperately needed a car/van/vehicle as old van died a slow death and needed to get to work, so seller kindly ended auction early and drove down from Forfar to pick us up. Not bad for £350 eh? lol I am well pleased, and once we fully know what we have, we will definately try and come to some meets
