Just a quickie, does MM work with Windows CE? is it just a cut down XP? may have option on a cute lil pc with CE on it.

Windows CE is in essence a very cut down version of XP. Although there should be no real reason why it shouldn't i have known in the past for some apps to not funcion properly.

Should do, Pocket PC, Windows Mobile and CE are basically different versions of the same family of operating system for mobile devices same as WIndows 2000/XP/Vista/7 are part of the same family of operating system for PC's.
To install MM on a CE based device you will either need to have it connected via ActiveSync or copy the MM cab file off your PC onto the device and install it

Righto, I'm awaiting a lil webook too wing its way to me, its solid state, so no drives and shouldnt suck too much electricery so should be a dsah mount job for MM.  Fronty no.4, pimp mobile Treg 3.2 LWB lifted 2.5"

I have seen an old Panasonic Toughbook running Windows CE and MM used by Brecon Mountain Rescue and a few peeps I go laning with have some old Packard Bell PND satnav boxes running Windows CE and MM
You need to ensure that if you are buying a Windows CE type device that either it has builtin GPS or is bluetooth enabled so you can hook it up to an external bluetooth GPS, it is unlikely that a USB GPS device will work on CE as there will not be suitable drivers for it
