Hi all, As the title suggests, I'm from Scotland, just bought a Frontera last night and am pretty excited about it - X reg, 5dr, 2.2D, tow bar, new tryes and MoT til Nov. Just getting some insurance quotes and that's a bit dissappointing though, coming in about £400 TPFT Got some quotes for a Freelander a few months ago and it was only in the £250 region. Any way, looking forward to picking up some tips from you guys.

I've got a fully suited and booted modified 2.0 lt SWB frontera, insured using Adrian Flux. £300 per year with 2 years NCD, ST7 Postcode, All modifications listed, legal cover, greenlaning & Pay & play site covered as well. There is quite a few members on here who use Adrian flux, cos they dont just insure on what a computer tells them, they know 4x4's inside out and things like modifications, winches etc are no problems at all. Normal un-modified trucks are also no problems. Give em' a try here : http://www.adrianflux.co.uk/4x4 Make sure you mention the Frontera Owners Group as you may be entitled to a discount.

Have to say, its a tad friendlier over here than it was on the other forums I've joined or browsed! Was just looking at comparable breakdown cover, the RAC say they only colver vehicles that weigh less than 3.5tonnes, I've no idea what a Frontera weighs!
