Swapped the exhaust from no.3 doner car to KITT because the one on KITT didn't sound too good
Image

Had to mod the cat a bit as the joining clamp had rusted away so the bolts would no longer hold
Image

So I cut off the ball and socket connection from the cat and doner exhaust and installed a new flexi exhaust pipe join :D
Image

Now I just need to see if I can patch the old exhaust up to use on the doner car

I made a start with the light bar, Got hold of a length of 2x1 box section and a couple of 35mm exhaust clamps. Cut the box section to length
and drilled out the clamp mount holes and then attatched CB aerial. Just got the lights to (aquire and) fit....

This is just the test fitting as will have to rust proof it before final fit is done......

Replaced the oil catch tank/expander/somethingorotherthat'sonlyonthe2.5 and it's made a big difference!

I'm the 3rd owner of this frontera on the forum.. and I've worked out that it was THIS that's the culprit for oil in the sump guard! Just gotta replace the rest now :)

Today fitted 3 new spark plugs ( engine was hot and one was tight so left it for now ) dizzy cap and rotor arm. Also swapped pipes over on the heater matrix and will take to work tonight and back. Tomorrow if not freezing I will change the thermostat and do the other plug. On to do list is air filter, oil change and filter, fuel filter, ignition leads and all other fluids

Noticed last night a loud rattle that didn't change with engine revs or speed. Seems to have cleared now
Might soon change the timing chain too if not too hard
wtf is this for?

Put new filter in the top of the rocker cover after giving it a good clean, was that blocked in the outlet pipe that i had to tap a screwdriver down it to clear it. All back together with new gasket and running sweet again. So BALA here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :drink: :drink:
