The end of my finger exploded leaving a nice cut

Sunny and dry for a change so got under both for the first time in a long time.

The B has lost its rear box, I had a little moment of madness Friday down some small roads and it party company after a little air. Also the rear drivers shock mount needed tightening (what is it with shock mounts at the mo?) Also put new rear pads in and gave all bushes a good lube. May even put the front prop back on.

The A had some TLC and I found a small water leak from a jubilee clip where I bypassed the second stat in the water loop. Oh and found the 10l jerry can of water in the boot has lost most of it, so did the best to dry hat up.

Got three of the four windows working, last one is stuck solid, will come out next week.
Gearbox is out, though five of the six clutch cover bolts are stuck solid. I will use an impact driver to remove next week
Rear light was replaced.
Started looking for the drain on the battery by removing all the fuses one by one and seeing how the drain on the drain changed, no luck.

Well, today's been a busy day for Lara, my SWB toy...

First job upon arriving at Chez Gregster, was to swap out the driver's seat for another which Pete (Retro Pedro) had kindly donated, as the bottom of mine had basically collapsed and it almost felt like I was sitting on the floor.
Secondly, with some guidance and assitance from Greg, removed the front auto hubs, and fitted a set of AVM manuals in their place (thank you Andysd1 for those mate)
Finally, and big thank you to Greg and Kel for this one (cos it was mostly them doing it, minor assistance from me  ) the 2" coil spacers went on the rear end.

I was planning on leaving it like that, to get a bit of a dragster look going on, but whilst I was busy with the tape measure in the FOG-Bog, Greg disappeared under the front of my car, and wound up the torsion bars. Boo, hiss, etc.

Anyhow, thanks to Greg, and Kel for their assistance today, and to Pete for the seat. Just got to get my Insa Special Tracks fitted, and we're sorted for the weekender now

The 2.8 got its suspension lift today at Gregsters workshop. After what can only be described as a "slow start", the coils spacers got fitted with thanks
to greg and his spring clamps. We also were kept in good supply of teas and coffee from Gregsters boss Sal so thanks go to her also. I must say that the fronty
on the way home from Gregs seems alot more firm and not as wollowy as before so all good.....

All in all was a good day today with everyone pitching in with each others work, proper team effort. Great......

LOL how did you guess?
It was only after i got half way through about a 40 foot of section of frozen water that i started to raelise the resistance of the 2 inch thick ice was causing me to stop so i floored it and the final section was a couple of feet deep. When i was out the other side i got out and checked the damage and theres quite a bit more than what i listed like the bumber and smashed grill.
Moral of this tale? Dont drive through frozen deep water with your foot to the floor in 2nd gear low range.
Ill show you some piccys 2moz, youll have a good laff.
