How to shorten long Links/Urls

To shorten links in your posts you need to -

Copy and past this. [url]Click Me[/url] and add your link in between the[url = ...........and.... ]Click Me[/url]

Like this. Click Me. But without the spaces. Then it should turn out like this. Click Me

Please practice this before useing it in your posts.

At the top of the reply box there is a URL button,which does.........

[url][/url] with the cursor winking in the middle,put a = in font of the first closed bracket........

.... then copy & paste from the address bar after =.........

[url=http.www.whatever link you want]http.www.whatever link you want[/url] then between the brackets type what you want to see..........

[url=http.www.whatever link you want]Clicky button[/url]

so a link to this page would be.........

If in doubt use the preview button before submitting

Nope not got the clicky hang of it yet.

Same as A friend's, but two ways, easiest is the first way.

you can save to note pad on your desk top for when you need it.
Add the red bits either side of the web address and after the thing you name the web address, the red is for illustration.

[url=http://www name of the site co.uk]here clicky name[/url]


(url=paste the link here)Name the link(/url) when you do it replace the () with [] and it will work.
