I'm free for the forseable future (well, until the job market picks up in January) - in the meantime I'm enjoying a long holiday (redundancy sitting in the bank: sometimes, at night, I can hear it calling my name).

I just need a break in the weather to go fix the steering idler pivot.

The idler pivot is really unpleasant job, you normally end up with an eye full of rust :(

I'll let you know when it's done.

Theoretically, it is four bolts and a nut (and 11 years worth of rust)

Hmm
