MS Office 7 email

My MS office suit 7 is about to end its trial period so will be unsupported, I have downloaded open office to replace it but does anyone one know of a similar email set up to MS Outlook7 as I quite like that and know my way around it.

One other question, when I uninstall MS office will all my other files and spread sheets be saved?

Uninstalling won't remove your files - And as for an alternative, there are plenty out there (like Thunderbird from Mozilla) - but then if you had it all sorted then there's no problem

Thought of that, if this doesnt work Ill give it a try, notice I said "I think"

Just in the mean time Im going to use windows mail while I sort a few things out.
But how do you save your contacts or move them from MS office 7 mail to Windows or even save contacts to another location outside the mail format? its doing my head in

File -> Import/Export -> Export to a file -> Personal Folder File (.pst) -> Select the contacts folder etc

Cant even gewt that to work Jay, it save the file to desktop then doesnt upload to winmail. also the file is gobbledygook on the dessktop

Ive binned MS and gone with open office.org and a nice simple email program, sod that the simple life for me now, flippin cracks, codes and stuff
