Interesting stuff. I already use Google Maps on my phone a fair bit. Aside from the occasional oddity, it's not bad, but the ability to have proper turn-by-turn nav from it would be great.

Both... GPS is the positioning system, GPRS is the mobile phones' data system. One to work out where you are, the other to pull the maps and the routing data over the network.

got no sympathy with sat nav companys, need an update for my garmin, and they ask 140 euros only for the update! system itself was only 220 euros. legalised theft which i cant afford, and wont pay on principal, ken
