Specially the bit about not letting the wife use one, or worse, two at the same time. If you need something done quickly just ask a busy woman then get the f"k out of her way.
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Last three days got stuck into the sport`s fuel tank. Had loosend the bolts over a month ago but due to family an weather it got put in the whenever bin so put on the Dark coloured hoody on opened the back of the fronty and dug out the tools. Loosend all blolts supported tank with a jack and piece of wood. eventually manged to get the clips off the filler pipe. dropped the tank to allow acess to the fuel pipes. now i have replaced the corroded pipe the reason for the tank drop was going to sort the Tank Guard which has split and corroded was going to clean it up an weld a plate onto it but yes the git with welder failed me again so bugger it ! Im putting the tank back on tomorrow the mot guy did not fail it i sort it at a later date. Refitted new pipe rubber one. Had wee issue getting filler pipes to go to together jack up the fuel tank by this time it was cold, dark and i was tired. got three bolts in but one was going in tight left it to the next day. Today found lastbolt i left under motor looked at the thread and saw that when i was fitting the bolts i was slightly off center with the tank and had chewed first two threads. so i tightend up what i had put the now spare in the pocket for the next trip to b&q or something. Tightend all New jublee clips. Tried to inflate rear tyre before lowering car off the jacks. Using the elctric pump plugged into the focus and the flaming pipe went pop i nearly made a mess of underwear so i lowered it onto the trye that had some air in it. Next connected the jump leads to the focus and sports battery gave it a turn of the key 1.2..3.4. vroom i left it too idle it was bit irrattic at first then settled checked for leaks none so job done. Next i have to remove the side step to allow the welding to get done on the sill couple of week and it will be on the road.
Bad point the front tyr had gone flat an it was on the blind side of the drive i never noticed the tyre wall has split so it s new tyre. Was gonna replace it any way was hoping to get the Re-test out the way first. Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Managed to dump another couple of gallons of fuel out the li'll white leafer when the fuel return line came off the fuel rail this time...
didnt catch fire though thankfully.... Found that someone previously had fitted nice looking braided fuel lines on the supply and return to the rail.... ...but they were the wrong diameter hoses!! Found some the correct size that was a tight fit to push on, and fitted new jubilee clips as they others where stripped as had been overtightened and jobs a goodun... Now will be able to see how many mpg the old engines doing....I have spread more fuel than its burnt so far!!! Easily visable to difference in diameter when held up together...shame cause the shiny braided ones looked nice... ![]() This is not just the end of the hose that is the larger diameter...its that diameter right through, the correct diameter is on the right!! ![]() Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Made a new exhaust bracket, the one thats mounted to the gearbox. Much sturdier then the original VX rubbish.
Decided to have a look at the sticking handbrake problem. Took one wheel off and thought the shoes looked a little low so decided to replace them on a whim with the spare set I bought about 3 years ago. Applied liberal amounts of copper grease and reassembled. Did the same to the other side. I left the discs off since I thought I would try Yakatars idea of using some blue tac to make a funnel around the end of the handbrake cable and pouring some oil into it. Unfortunately there are tight rubber boots at the end of my handbrake cables which prevented the oil from running inside the cable so I got an oil pump gun with a small nozzle and shoved it under the rubber boot, wrapped the cable and oil gun tube in electrical tape to seal it and started pumping until oil came out at the wheel end. I squished tissue paper under it to catch the excess. Tried the handbrake, better but still not ideal so I took the centre console out and tightened the 2 bolts that the handbrake hinges on, no more wobbly handbrake for me Checked the handbrake action and all is tickety boo! I just have to do the final adjustments to the cable and the star wheels but thats a job for tomorrow.
Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Today i mated with my engine, now have sore privates.
Needed to wrestle pipes that run over the gearbox and behind the engine, its tight to say the least, started stood on a chair leaning in, but ended with arms around the block, chest on the block and feet in the air Fronty no.4, pimp mobile Treg 3.2 LWB lifted 2.5"

Re: WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!Repainted my black bits after sorting some rust out, never got around to the CV boot.
We also whipped out someone's cold start and EGR's then we fitted some plus 2" Rough Country Shocks to his car and bled his heaters and had a bloody good laugh. We hate that top shock bolt by the exhaust Ste
