toshiba dvd sd-480ekb DVD

Used in conjunction with a Toshiba TV model number 40XV551D 40" LCD.
For no apparent reason the DVD is only playing sound and no picture, checked all leads and channels and cant figure out why, any ideas before Comet get a warranty call?

What lead is connecting the TV to dvd....
If you have the video input configured wrong on the TV or the o/p on the DVD set to component when you are using a scart it will not always work...

Ste make sure youre scart is pushed fully home at both ends cos the symptoms you described sounds like a loose scart.

I think the fix was to get dwifty as far from the telly as possible and let someone have a go who had actually read the instructions!! :lol: :lol: :lol:
